Teacher’s Day Celebration 2025 – One-Day Faculty Development Programme on “Attitude and Mindset”
On 5th September 2025 (Friday), in celebration of Teacher’s Day, a special One-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Attitude and Mindset” was successfully organized at Seminar Hall – II from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the college campus. The programme was conducted under the esteemed leadership and direct supervision of Dr. R. Kavitha Senthilnathan, Principal, with coordination support from Mrs. Sathya of Sen Nexus Academy.
The workshop was designed to highlight the greatness, responsibility, and sanctity of the teaching profession through five impactful sessions. The first session focused on the Japanese education system, emphasizing discipline, honesty, responsibility, and self-confidence among students through practical educational practices.
The second session engaged faculty members in identifying and listing the teachers who had left a lasting impact on their lives, reinforcing the idea that teachers with exemplary qualities remain in students’ hearts forever.
The third session explored the qualities students admire and dislike in teachers, stressing that love, patience, clarity, and balanced guidance inspire students, while harshness and lack of understanding create barriers in learning.
The fourth session highlighted innovative classroom activities, encouraging faculty to make teaching more engaging through stories, songs, diagrams, and videos while adapting methods according to students’ learning mindsets.
The final session concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to all attendees.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Heads of Departments, faculty members, office staff, and professors from the College of Education, who were divided into five groups for interactive activities. As part of the Teacher’s Day celebrations, the Principal presented nameplates, notebooks, and pens to all faculty members as tokens of appreciation.
A special highlight of the event was the generous contribution of a Projector donated by Sen Nexus Academy for the benefit of classroom teaching and learning. The college management also hosted a grand festive lunch for all faculty and staff to commemorate the occasion.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. K. Radhalakshmi, Head of the Department of Tamil. With the dedicated support of the college management, faculty members, and Sen Nexus Academy, the event was a grand success, leaving all participants inspired and motivated to strengthen their professional attitude and teaching mindset.
